    Understanding the basic layout of the AdWords interface will help you manage your account more effectively. The interface has five top menu areas. Those are Home, Campaigns, Opportunities, Reports, and Tools. Campaigns is in blue, because that’s the menu page that’s currently open.

    If you have not yet created an account at Google Adwords go ahead and do that now and explore a little bit around the interface to get familiar with it . Go signup up now at www.google.com/adwords

    So now that we have an account setup, let’s take a look at the interface. Since the account we setup has no active campaigns, I’m going to move over to a more mature account so I can show you what to expect once your account has more information in it. Let’s start at the top. The interface has five top menu areas. Those are Home, Campaigns, Opportunities, Reports, and Tools. Campaigns is in blue, because that’s the menu page that’s currently open. Let’s start on the left and click on home.

    Now let’s check out AdWords Express at www.Google.com/AdWords/express It is a lightweight version of Google Ads, This is geared towards people who want to start using ads to build their business, but maybe don’t have enough time to learn AdWords. It has limited functionality, but can be very useful if you’re trying to get started. Google AdWords Express takes away the need to have to monitor and manage your campaigns on a daily basis. It automates most things. Also, if you don’t have a website, AdWords Express might work for you, since AdWords requires it. You still have the ability to set your budget, target customers. And choose your ads.
