    Any time you watch a tutorial about a reasonably complex topic, it can get overwhelming. And with Google ads, its complexity lies in its options. There are different types of ads with a bunch of different settings options, and a million reporting options it seems.

    Don’t worry about understanding and remembering everything about this course right away. As you use Google ads and spend time in the dashboard, you will familiarize yourself with everything more and more. Since you’re just starting out, what I’d like to do now is acknowledge Google's vast reporting prowess,

    Task Number 1

    Start taking notes, there are three very important reports to start with in Adwords. These three are search term reports, the auction insights report, and the user location reports. To view these reports we start by going to the Dimensions tab from the campaign view.

    From here, let’s choose the view dropdown in the top left. And let’s select search terms. What we can do with this is scan the report to see what exactly people that clicked on our ad searched for, So these three essential reports can really help us understand and adjust our campaign. I recommend viewing them often.
