Lesson 3.8 Notes And Tasks

  • notes

    Note Number 1

Bid adjustments are a way for us to automatically increase or decrease what we are willing to spend on bids when specific locations, devices, days, or times are in play. This is something that can be very helpful once you’re comfortable doing it. When we set up our campaign in the beginning, remember we weren’t able to select whether or not our ads would appear on mobile.

  • notes

    Note Number 2

As you can see, bid adjustments are a really great way to get control over some very specific bidding techniques. You can use them to save money, or increase conversions by location, device and time. I should mention that bid adjustments can be controlled at the ad group level for devices, while location and schedule can apply across ad groups in the campaign they’re applied in.

  • notes

    Task Number 1

Experiment with setting up a few bid adjustments for mobile devices VS home computer users. Try working with bid adjustments in different geographical areas as well getting specific down to cities and zip codes depending on where you do business.
