Lesson 2.4 Notes And Tasks

  • notes

    Note Number 1

In the last video we discussed location and language settings. Let’s continue forward from there. Scrolling below language settings we come to the bid section. The three option we’re presented with are Bid strategy, Default bid, and Budget. The first thing we need to do when considering bid strategy is determine two things. The first, how much is a potential sale from a customer worth to us? And the second question is, how much are we willing to spend per day?

    Note Number 2

Google gives us some extra criteria we can use to help our bid strategy. We’ve already chose the option to manually set our bids for clicks, but we can also choose to let AdWords set our bids for us to maximize clicks within a target budget. So what this means is Google has you choose a click bid limit, so we’ll click the checkbox and enter in $3.33. And now Google will, using this number, maximize the clicks for us based on our budget.

    Task Number 1

Start Think about the types of products and services that you sell it you will be advertising on Google Adwords. Make a list of all the product you will advertise and what you’re cost per product is to your business. Then start thinking about how much you can afford to bid and still make a profit when you advertise this product as we talk about the video.
