    Note Number 1

In this video we’re going to discuss writing a text ad that shows up on the Google search network. I know by now you’re familiar with what Google ads look like. I’m sure you’ve seen tens of thousands of these if not more at this point, but let’s review the ad structure first. Every text ad has a headline. This is your opportunity to bring attention to your ad. Directly below the headline is the web address, which Google calls the display URL. We’ll review the difference in a moment. After that, there are two description lines. This tells the viewer what they should expect to get from you, your business, and your site.

    Note Number 2

The Headline has to be 25 characters or less. For your display URL, Google allows 35 characters or less. The option to use a display URL is a great one, because it allows us to use something different than the actual landing page URL.

    Task Number 1

So let’s construct your ad. First, you need to highlight what makes your product or service unique. What makes it stand out against your competition? Do you offer things your competitors don’t? What are your key features? Do you provide free shipping, or a superior product in some way? Also, consider why your customers buy from you in the first place. What do you offer that makes them choose you over someone else?

    Task Number 2

Be sure to match your ads to your keywords. The best reason for creating tightly themed ad groups is so you can include your keywords in your ad copy. The reason why is by including keywords in your copy, Google will see that your ad is relevant. It’s what the person is searching for.
